Orange County CCW Training Course
The Mana Group is an approved CCW training provider for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and is dedicated to delivering the highest quality CCW training possible. Whether working in the private security sector or with the everyday citizen, we are here to assist you in obtaining your CCW.
We provide instructor-led training in person or via Zoom. We also have on-site range training that encompasses hard skills and qualification standards as required by OCSD. The current standard of training requires all initial applicants to complete an 16-hour training course. This includes classroom and live fire qualifications. All renewal applicants must attend a minimum 8-hour training course and qualification shoot.
This course provides a total of 16 hours of training for the initial applicant. This consists of 4 hours of pre-learning and a written test. There are 8 hours of Zoom training (two, 4-hour sessions) that covers the legal aspects and penal codes, mental health, use of force, self-defense, skills and fundamentals, situational awareness, and safety. On-range skills and live fire qualification make up the final 4 hours of this course.
