What defines a micro-compact gun?
These are pistols specifically designed for the ultimate concealability and purposely intended purely for self-defense. Some of the best-known models are the Glock G43, 43X, and 48, Sig P365, Smith and Wesson Shield and Springfield Armory Hellcat. These all exhibit extremely narrow frames to aid in concealability.
What is this course about?
The course is specifically intended to address the needs of shooters who own and carry micro compact guns. This is not for standard compact pistols based on full-size frames like a Glock19.
Why was this course created?
The number of pistols in this category sold nationwide to the retail public is staggeringly high, yet it’s extraordinarily rare to see someone training with one. Micro-compact guns in polymer, striker-fired format are the best-selling polymer guns of several of the largest handgun manufacturers.
What should you attend?
This course is based on over 10,000 rounds of curriculum development and shooting experience with the different models. This course helps you avoid most of the learning curve. We have experience to help you understand the peculiarities and specific challenges of the smaller frame guns.
The instruction will include drills and strategies so you can continue your personal training at your home range.
Courses will require:
- 500 rounds of ammunition (we will shoot all of it)
- Quality Kydex holster
- Belt-mounted magazine pouch (Regardless of whether you pocket carry a spare magazine or not.)
- Tinted and clear ballistic eye protection
- Electronically amplified hearing protection
- Food and hydration appropriate for the weather and location of training
